Kawasaki Kmx 125 Enduro For

What is the best overall dirt bike out for sale based on facts and specs not opions?

new models

Jeff answers:

Well, depends.

Just to ask what is the best dirt bike around is pretty broad, because everyone has difference experiences, opinions, and applications associated with bikes.

For instance i have grown up on suzukis, and i love that brand because its done everything ive wanted it to and om happy with it.

It also depends on what kind of bike, trail, mx, enduro, theres a lot.

However, having read a very recent article on mx bikes (250f and 450f), heres some characteristics of each major make:

Yamaha - good controlled bike, not aggresive, but rides very smooth and controlled
Kawasaki - aggresive and very powerful, has significant torque above others, not a very comfy ride
Suzuki - great technical bike, one of the best in tracks, good on open trails, but not as much as others
Honda - very well made bike, great in turns and overall best stock racer (suspension setup, powerband, etc)
KTM - smooth and very very fast, one of the only ones with a 6th gear makes for a great open trail/enduro bike, not so good on the track.

Hope this helps you.

Susan asks…

Obtaining new IL title?

I just bought a Kawasaki G5 off somebody on Craigslist. He sold it with just a bill of Sale, said he lost the title years ago, but said I could just order a new one. I just got of the phone with the Sec of State's office, who (snottily) said that I can't do that, vehicles can't be sold in IL without a title and I was basically out of luck. Oh boy, now what? I suppose I could keep it as a trail bike, as it's an enduro, but I'd really like to drive it on the street. Any help would be great, thanks!
Ah drat, thats too bad, good thing it's an enduro, guess it's going to continue to be an off-road bike only. I'm not going to do the bonded title, the bike cost $350, and was made in '75, not worth the $$. Thanks for the help

Sorry, what you were told is true. Vehicles, regardless of state, have their ownership transferred by means of a title, not a bill of sale. If you don't get a title at the point of sale, you have not bought a vehicle.

Stop and think about it, I could write you a bill of sale for a brand new cadillac, but it wouldn't do you much good even if I handed you the keys to a stolen cadillac to go with it.

There is a process, the bonded title, but it's complicated and expensive. You put up a bond for the worth of the vehicle, and they allow you to register it and drive it while they check the status. It can take a great deal of time (I'm talking years, not months) and if it's found to be stolen, it can be taken from you with no refund.

Donna asks…

Should I get a bonded title on my motorcycle?

It's a 1973 Kawasaki F7 enduro. It was bought new and has been in my family ever since. It was mainly used as a dirt bike, and never officially titled - the MSO was signed over to my dad a couple years ago.
