"That place is a wreck! They never rebuilt since the hurricanes," said the taxi driver. "Can’t drive any farther, will f$%! up the car. I’ll let you off here, good luck."
Sure enough the place was in shambles. Buildings torn in half in the wake of the storm. One building still stood though glass windows broken and walls beaten.
I broke out in sweat. Vision blurry. Dizzy now… falling… darkness…
"Ms. Windecher will see you now." said the receptionist. The elevator sped upwards and looked out to see the ground et smaller and smaller.
I walk in to a luxurious office. I see a beautiful young lady looking out the window overlooking the city. It's Giselle! Dressed in white. Seems to be a glow around her...
She turns her head to look over, with a sparkle in her eyes and smile.
TS: (gulp!) Hi! How are you?
GIGI: GrRrrrrrRreat! Lol
She waves her hand to a couple of chairs and we sit.
TS: how did you get your nickname Gigi?
GIGI: My parents I guess…
TS: Am I saying it right? JEE-JEE or GEE-GEE? Or GEE-JEE?
GIGI: Gee-Gee :P
TS: ahh. Well let’s get this interview started…
TS: how did you get into modeling?
GIGI: Random people at HIN kept asking me to take pictures…when I didn’t even model so I figured I’d give it a try
TS:: Which HIN was that?
GIGI: Miami, Dec 2004
TS: What do you like about modeling?
GIGI: Everything!? It’s just so much fun!
TS: favorite modeling gig?
GIGI: Hot Import Nights
TS: look at this fancy office! Um, aside from modeling, what is your day job?
GIGI: Shhh…I keep it a secret
TS: lots of books here… librarian? Haha am I close?
GIGI: You’re getting warm…
TS: so you making big money?
GIGI: Lol "more money more problems" that’s all I can say about that…
TS: did you actually say "L o l?"
TS: L M A O… oh crap, it’s contagious!
GIGI:(giggle)
TS: what makes you laugh?
GIGI: Silly people
TS: favorite team solo car?
GIGI: Yours!
TS: How do you roll?
GIGI: Scion Tc Baby!
GIGI: hey let’s get outta here! Do the rest of the ques on the road!
She reaches under the top drawer of her desk and the wall behind her opens...
GIGI: Cmon let’s go!
Elevator drops us (literally). I reel my stomach back in.
The door opens into an underground parking lot.
Beep beep sounds from her Scion Tc. We hop in. Gigi slams hard into first...
TS: (placing my head back on my neck) Heavy foot I see… what was your last speeding ticket/traffic violation?
GIGI: I think it was on 1-75 driving to Georgia doing 110 mph…and yeah those state troopers don’t play!
TS: so you tried to charm you’re way out of a ticket? What did you do?
GIGI: Nah, I’ve never tried to charm my way out…I don’t think it’s right (no way am I going to flirt with a cop just to get out of a speeding ticket!)
She waves and smiles at a state trooper as we breeze by doing 115..
TS: um… right…
GIGI:(laughing)
TS: any modification plans for the Tc?
GIGI: Well yeah I’ve thought about that or trading it in for the special edition blue one that just came out.
She runs a red light..
TS: (silent for a minute) um…
TS: what do you do on your spare time?
GIGI: I love going to the beach sometimes going to the clubs but most of all going to the movies and hanging out with my friends and family…
GIGI: breach sounds good right now, I know a great spot!
Squeaaaal goes the tires… She whips the car almost 90 degree turn.
TS: (peeling my face off the passenger window) ugh,..what is your weakness?
GIGI: Ice Cream!
Scrrrreech goes the brakes…we stop at a little ice cream stand just off the beach. (thank god for seatbelts).
TS: how much ice cream do you eat per year?
GIGI: Per year!?...wow that’s hard to count I’d say too much!
We chow down...
TS: (talking with mouth full) iyskb kjh ipop?
GIGI: (talking with mouth full) oulkhk ojshk!?!
After eating we stroll along the beach...
TS: Tango or swing? foxtrot?
GIGI: Tango it’s in my blood.
Gigi does a step. Bam! Two guy on bicycles slam into each other...
TS: sleep in or up before sunrise?
GIGI: Sleep In…I love Sundays
TS: I’ve heard that you’re a snorer… true?
GIGI: Ha-ha not even close…it’s more like talk in my sleep.
We pass by an outdoor gym. The guys working out look over at Gigi...
TS: describe a the kind of guy who would attract your attention:
GIGI: the guy that attracts my attention is the sexy shy guy type but when he talks all he can do is make me laugh with his corny jokes…I love funny guys oh and having an athletic physique doesn’t hurt…
Yowww! One guy drops a barbell on his foot. Weight drops on another guy doing bench press.
TS:where do you see yourself a year from now?
GIGI:Traveling the world!
TS:by boat or by plane?
GIGI:Both!
Another guy chokes while drinking a bottle of water.
TS: A month from now?
GIGI: In California
TS: How about next week?
GIGI: Hot Import Nights Miami
Several guys blading wave at Gigi… then roll off the walk and flip! Landing upside down, buried in the sand...
TS:what makes you cry?
GIGI:Mean people
TS:what makes you sneeze?
GIGI:Pepper and strong perfumes
TS:What are you known to say?
GIGI:"Whatever" people hate when I say that but I mean it “whatever” means I don’t care…
We see a couple out in the ocean. The guy turns to look at Gigi. Doesn’t hear his girl screaming as she gets taken by the waves… she’s gone.
TS: What makes you lazy?
GIGI: Working too much it makes me exhausted
TS: What motivates you?
GIGI: Seeing other people do really good just shows that I can do it to
Suddenly we’re surrounded by a crowd of people...
CROWD OF PEOPLE: Hi Giselle!... Can you sign this for me?... Can I get a picture?... etc
TS:(being trampled on) Help!
TS: wow, look at all the attention you bring! any crazy fans?
GIGI: No!?...all my fans are awesome.
TS: How do you handle stalkers?
GIGI: When I was in high school I had a real stalker that ended up in jail for murder, that was scary!
TS: Where can fans see you next?
CROWD OF PEOPLE: yeah YEAH!
GIGI:(calls out to the crowd) HIN Miami Dec 16th and if you can’t catch me there check out my website I’ll be traveling with the PM Girls so I’ll have the schedule posted! :)
A couple of hours later… the crowd finally dispersed...
GIGI: what a day! Hehe! Let’s roll outta here (gets back in the tC)
TS:(reluctantly hops inside) Well... before I die… last questions…
TS: place you want to go for vacation? What would you do there?
GIGI: I want to go back to the Canary Islands again and visit the island with the black sand beaches…this time I would stay much longer.
TS: would you take me with you?
GIGI: Ha-ha sure why not!
Dusk hits Miami as we speed off. Gigi’s laughter fading. Darkness hits and then...
I wake up in her office. My eyes start to focus and a see that the office is in shambles. Deserted. Covered with dust. Windows broken. Floor torn up. Furniture in pieces everywhere. I walk over to look outside and down below I see where I first arrived in the taxi.
Was it all a dream!?! How did I get up here!??
Then I realize that I'm holding something in my hand...
